The mission of the Area Coach is to lead the delivery of a Championship haircut experience by ensuring Operational Excellence across all touchpoints, delivering training and development to Managers and Team Members in assigned stores. You will accomplish this by leading high impact virtual and in-person training sessions that enhance Manager and Team Member (Stylist) skill levels. This training will include a relentless focus on an elevated Client Experience achieved through the 5 Point Play.
Must be located in the Columbia, Greenville or Charleston area
Scope:
The primary role of the Area Coach is to ensure excellent execution of training content to support Operational and Technical excellence. The primary function of this role is to ensure that every Sport Clips Client receives a Championship Haircut, every Service, Every Time. This is accomplished through the execution of the 5 Point Play. Area Coaches are required to provide ongoing training and support to Managers and their Team Members (Stylists) to deliver outstanding service and Client Count growth. The Area Coach role reports to the Regional Coach. Other Key business partners to accomplish this mission include the Regional Director, Senior Director of Training and Change Management Initiatives, and Artistic Director and Director of Content Creation, as well as both the VP of Franchise Operations and Company Stores.
Key Criteria/Requirements:
  • Current cosmetology or barber license
  • 3-5 years of previous haircutting experience
  • Mastery of the Sport Clips Systems as demonstrated through personal and team metrics
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong training delivery, presentation, analytical, and relationship building skills
  • Positive, supportive, and outgoing personality
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds frequently and bend frequently
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • 6 months previous experience with Sport Clips preferred
  • Previous salon work experience preferred
