Nationally acclaimed full-service Am Law 200 business law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage & Recovery Associate to join their team.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing coverage and recovery group that includes a large sports insurance component (representing/counseling athletes, teams, and leagues).  Since inception this firm has been committed to providing excellent client service.  Their mission is to understand the challenges that their clients face, build collaborative relationships, and craft creative solutions designed and executed with long-term strategic goals in mind.  The firm culture is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and rewarding.  Associates have access to interesting work, partners who actually mentor, and flexible paths to partnership. Billable hour goals and performance metrics are individualized based on the practice group, professional goals, experience, and more.

This position is onsite at the firm’s Los Angeles, California office.  Ideal candidates must be California barred, will have experience in dealing with coverage and recovery issues arising out of general liability policies and must also have a policyholder/plaintiff mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a California Bar license in good standing
  • Must have a 3-5 years of experience in dealing with coverage and recovery issues arising out of general liability policies, Directors & Officers and Errors & Omission, as well as others, sports insurance experience is a plus
  • Must have a policyholder/plaintiff mindset
  • Must have excellent writing skills and knowledgeable in discovery and motion practice
  • Must have strong legal research skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be motivated to learn and grow professionally
