We're looking for an experienced Product Development Manager to lead the development and execution of new products from concept through production. In this highly collaborative role, you'll partner with Engineering, Sales, Sourcing, and international manufacturing partners to bring innovative products to market while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do

Lead Product Development

  • Manage multiple product development projects from concept through commercialization.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful product launches.
  • Balance technical requirements, cost, quality, and speed to market throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional project teams consisting of Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Quality, and international manufacturing partners.
  • Ensure all stakeholders have the information, resources, and accountability needed to achieve project objectives.
  • Coordinate priorities across departments while maintaining alignment with overall business goals.
  • Communicate project status, risks, timelines, and budget updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

Partner with Global Manufacturing

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas manufacturing partners.
  • Coordinate product development activities with international factories, including communication outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Support supplier negotiations, production planning, and issue resolution to ensure successful execution.
  • Collaborate with factories to improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiencies.

Manage Projects & Improve Processes

  • Utilize Monday.com and other project management tools to track timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project budgets and partner with leadership to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and standardized processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management methodologies and product development workflows.

Mentor & Lead

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to other Project Managers.
  • Share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Project Management function.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence across project teams.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
  • 5- 7+ years of Product Management experience leading complex product development projects.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects through the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturers, including supplier communication and negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and commercialization processes.
  • Experience using project management software such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the hunting, shooting sports, outdoor recreation, sporting goods, or consumer products industries.
  • Knowledge of product development related to shooting accessories, hunting accessories, trail cameras, feeders, optics, hearing protection, or similar outdoor products.
  • Experience supporting international manufacturing and supplier development.
