Job description

Responsibilities
PGC (Professionally Generated Content) is one of TikTok's key business directions. It satisfies users' differentiated consumption demands by providing professional content. The PGC business is divided into several core modules, including creator growth strategies, posts and content management tools, content distribution strategies, creator monetization strategies and OGC verticals. The primary role of a Data Scientist for our Data team is to conduct deep analysis of user behavior, product features and content ecosystem to generate business insights that could be applied to actionable improving initiatives. You will work closely with cross-function teams, such as Product Management, Research and Development, Machine Learning Engineering, to improve user experience and fulfill the growth of TikTok in all different regions. Responsibilities - Conduct end-to-end data analysis across content and product for the relevant business, uncover supply/demand dynamics, user behaviors and the creator ecosystem, identify growth opportunities, and drive business impact. - Design and build the core metrics framework and data systems to improve data-driven decision efficiency. - Partner with Product/Operations/Algorithm/Engineering to improve recommendation and distribution efficiency, optimize user experience, and drive strategy execution. - Design and analyze A/B tests, and causal inference; evaluate product features, strategies, and trends operations; perform core metric anomaly analysis and root-cause diagnosis. - Validate hypotheses and identify product growth opportunities through analyses, experiments, or other scientific methods, and influence directions for improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above in Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields; 3+ years of experience in data analysis/data science. - Solid foundation in statistics and causal inference; proficient in A/B testing; strong quantitative analysis and impact evaluation skills. - Proficient in SQL; expert in Python or R; capable of data processing, modeling, and visualization. - Strong structured thinking and business abstraction; able to quickly understand the sports business and connect business nuances with data. Preferred Qualifications - Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills; able to drive cross-functional execution effectively. - Experience in overseas market analysis or cross-region collaboration is a plus. - Strong curiosity and self-drive; resilient; ownership mindset with positive team influence. - Practical experience in recommend systems/content distribution/growth strategies; experience in sports or content products is a plus.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129960 - $277970 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
