We are seeking enthusiastic college students and emerging professionals to join our team as Community Engagement Ambassadors and help represent Indiana Sports Corp throughout the community.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, brings positive energy to a team, and can think on their feet. Ambassadors will engage with community members, create welcoming experiences, and build excitement around Indiana Sports Corp and its upcoming events.
Ambassadors may promote events and programs including:
  • Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament
  • 2026 Big Ten Football Championship
  • 2026 Indy Classic

  • Adapt messaging for different audiences, including families, students, sports fans, and community leaders
  • Help create an inclusive, energetic, and memorable event experience
  • Represent Indiana Sports Corp professionally and exercise sound judgment
  • Assist with event setup and teardown
  • Help direct and support volunteers during assigned events
  • Capture photographs based on event shot lists for potential social media use
  • Track and maintain promotional-material inventory
  • Drive an Indiana Sports Corp vehicle when assigned and authorized
  • Identify and respond appropriately to on-site challenges, involving a supervisor when necessary
  • Complete post-event reporting and provide useful feedback

Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who are:
  • Approachable, energetic, and comfortable initiating conversations
  • Clear and professional communicators
  • Able to remain composed and use good judgment when plans change
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
  • Dependable, punctual, and prepared
  • Able to have fun while representing an organization professionally
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Receptive to feedback and interested in continuous improvement
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced public environment

Previous experience in campus leadership, hospitality, customer service, athletics, student organizations, marketing, event production, theater, or community service is helpful but not required. Indiana Sports Corp values demonstrated potential, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
Eligibility & Availability
Candidates must:
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Be available to work at least two promotional events per month beginning September 2026
  • Have flexibility to work weekdays, weeknights, and weekends
  • Be able to travel to events throughout Indianapolis and occasionally surrounding counties
  • Be able to stand for extended periods and assist with transporting and setting up event materials
  • Have reliable transportation to assigned event locations
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record for assignments requiring use of a company vehicle

  • Build relationships with sports and civic leaders
  • Access future Indiana Sports Corp volunteer opportunities
  • Receive invitations to select Indiana Sports Corp events, including the Holiday Party and Locker Room Lunch Series
  • Receive an Indiana Sports Corp gear pack
  • Gain experience representing one of the country's leading sports commissions
