Job description

About Tixr
Tixr's on a mission to transform the ticket buying experience with a modern approach to a legacy business. Born from a fan-focused frame of mind, we empower large-scale events, music venues, and sports properties with modern, innovative solutions to their highly-complex ticketing and e-commerce needs. Our unified commerce platform is built for big, supporting all types of events, from festivals to global arena tours, and an almost limitless suite of commerce offerings beyond admission tickets.
Our marketing team sits at the center of Tixr's commercial division, working alongside partnerships, client experience, and fan support to drive the business forward. Content and social are some of the clearest ways we show up for the fans who love live events, the partners we support, and the organizers evaluating Tixr as a platform.
The Opportunity
Tixr is looking for a smart, social media-savvy marketing intern to help us show up better across content, social, and brand, with a focus on elevating our Instagram presence (@TixrHQ).
We're less concerned with your major or title and more with how you think, how you write, and how organized you are under a bit of chaos. If you're excited by content marketing broadly, plugged into social platforms, curious about AI tools, and want real ownership rather than just execution, we want to meet you.
You Might Be...
  • A student or recent grad who's organized, detail oriented, and genuinely excited about marketing as a craft, not just the social media side of it
  • Someone who's genuinely online: you spend real time on social platforms yourself, with an active personal Instagram, and have a natural feel for what performs and why
  • Full of opinions on content, trends, and formats, and comfortable pitching them; you won't be editing content yourself (that's what our design team is for), but you should know what good looks like
  • Genuinely into live events, whether that's music, sports, or culture
  • A strong writer who can help with blog ideas, newsletter content, and other marketing copy
  • Comfortable holding a few workstreams at once
  • Fluent in AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI) or excited to learn
  • Comfortable capturing content in the field: photos, video, quick interviews at live events
  • Based in LA, able to work on-site part time
You'll Work On...
Social Media
  • Set the direction for Instagram: pitch new content formats, series, and channels
  • Source and evaluate video content, and decide which clients and events to spotlight
  • Brief the design team with strong creative direction, from concept through final cut
  • Manage day-to-day publishing across Instagram and LinkedIn: content calendar, scheduling, and caption copy

On the Ground
Attend Tixr-powered events to capture original photo, video, and interview content
Content Marketing
  • Help research, outline, and support blog posts
  • Support the monthly newsletter, from content ideas to asset coordination
  • Support sponsorship activations: design requests, asset tracking, client coordination
Details
  • Part-time, approx. 20-25 hrs/week
  • Duration: 3 months, with potential to extend
  • Location: Santa Monica HQ preferred, open to hybrid depending on fit
