Overview
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an expert in quantitative and qualitative research to develop the analysis to support the marketing and research initiatives for Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Champs Sports. The ability to use your market analysis skills to assist executives in making objective and business-focused decisions is needed. This role will provide analytical support and strategic insight into consumer behavior and trends, aiding in the development of ongoing marketing strategies to support sales.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:The primary goal of this position is to support all marketing research efforts for Foot Locker Inc. This person will use tools of primary and secondary market research and data analysis to support the efforts of the team to provide unbiased, objective, in-depth understanding of the market, product performance, customers, and competitors.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute research initiatives for the marketing organization including conception, design, data collection, analysis, drafting, programming, testing and dissemination - in an organized, collaborative, and resourceful manner
  • Monitor developments in the marketplace, including direct and indirect competitive offerings
  • Develop presentations used to communicate and leverage research to drive business decisions across all channels, including in-store, online, email, direct mail, and events
  • Create and support internal forum to leverage competitive information and deep dive as-needed
  • Monitor brand health and competitive perceptions through bi-annual surveys
  • Support ongoing trend forecasting and cultural trend mapping
  • Manage ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed throughout the year

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field
  • 2-3 years experience in market research and/or consumer insights
  • Outstanding analytical abilities, enjoy working with numbers and interpreting data into actionable plans
  • Experience in both quantitative and qualitative research and pros/cons of each
  • Excellent communication skills (in-person, e-mail and presentations)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and analytical skills
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop reporting and strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
  • Ability to drive research forward independently
  • Ability to manage relationship between research vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Passion for sneakers and sports

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $48,000-$65,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
