FloSports is a leading sports media company positioned as the essential destination for passionate sports fans, delighting them with live event coverage, original documentaries, breaking news, highlights, stats, rankings, and team and player profiles. We are growing Our Sports every day by continuing to invest in our ever-expanding ecosystem, which consists of over a dozen sport verticals and hundreds of streaming partners. FloSports is creating the home for sports like grassroots Motorsports, Hockey, Wrestling, Track & Field, Grappling, Cheer, College Conferences, and more.

THE ROLE:

FloSports is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to join our high impact Strategic Finance & Corporate Development team. Key responsibilities of this team include reviewing investment opportunities, analyzing new media rights contracts, reviewing performance of live sports content, exploring opportunities in new sports, owning key subscriber inputs in our company’s model, and working with the finance and BI team to report on our business performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own new subscription forecasting for new and existing media rights deals across our portfolio of 20+ sports.

  • Collaborate with our Rights Acquisition team and General Managers to understand the value of potential new content for FloSports.

  • Partner with our corporate finance and operations teams to ensure content is properly reflected in our company’s financial model.

  • Help create presentations for major content opportunities that will be reviewed with FloSports’ C-suite.

  • Build basic financial models to show the financial impact of new rights deals on our portfolio.

  • Work with our BI team to identify and create solutions for existing manual processes related to forecasting and reporting.

  • Build relationships with colleagues across rights acquisition, finance, operations, business intelligence, content, and marketing.

  • Exemplify passion for growing our sports within the sports media industry and establishing a working knowledge of the key players and their events.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 
  • 2+ years of quality work experience, including backgrounds in strategic finance, corporate strategy, corporate finance, consulting, business intelligence, corporate development, private equity and/or venture capital.

  • An understanding of basic financial modeling.

  • Comfort building and presenting materials to senior management.

  • Ability to use data to translate ambiguous problems into actionable solutions.

  • A general understanding of FloSports’ market, sports, and competitive positioning.

  • Exceptional written and communication skills.

  • Analytical reasoning, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.

  • Experience in subscription, media, or technology focused companies.

 

BONUS POINTS:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with intermediate to extensive financial modeling experience.

  • Familiarity with cloud based analytics and CRM platforms (Salesforce).

  • Basic experience with SQL and other data tools.
