Job description

The Biltmore Championship Asheville is seeking a candidate for an Event Operations Internship. This role will support the Event Operations team in planning, preparation, and execution of The Biltmore Championship Asheville.
Daily Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Event Operations Director and Specialist to activate all aspects of the Biltmore Championship
  • Assist with management of vendor, club staff, and tour staff relationships
    • Direct management of vendors such as:
      • Ecology
      • POL/Restroom Trailers
      • Golf Carts
      • Radio Communications
      • Mobile Office/Storage Rental
      • Fencing
      • Miscellaneous Vendors
  • Support event staff with execution of large-scale special events throughout advance and event weeks
  • Liaison for on-site corporate partnership activations and execution
  • Responsible for managing event operations timeline
  • Forklift and heavy equipment operation

Requirements
  • Interest in Event Management, Marketing and/or Sports Marketing
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Public relations skills and ability to communicate with staff, volunteers, corporate clients and vendors
  • Must take initiative, operate proactively and think independently in project management
  • Capacity to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Self-discipline with schedule and time management
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move objects weighing 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
