FanDuel is looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst to drive data literacy across FanDuel.
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.
THE GAME PLAN

  • Should Represent the Data Governance team in discussions with technical and business stakeholders globally as a subject matter expert on our toolkit and roadmap
  • Support metadata management processes and standards across all of the data domains to ensure data integrity and standardization
  • Promote a culture of data governance by developing partnerships with data owners and stewards to promote data governance best practices
  • Outline and help implement data governance performance and standards, while developing and implementing operating plans to achieve those standards via audits, automation and processes
  • Identify and communicate improvements in the design and effectiveness of key controls and processes including automation
  • Serve as a SME on product interface and capabilities for select data domains
  • Understand business requirements, translating them into actionable specifications including how data should be governed

What we're looking for in our next teammate
  • BA or BS in Information Systems, CS, Data Management or Analysis or similar is desired.
  • 5+ years' experience in a data driven function and role such as a data governance analyst, quality assurance analyst, product owner, data analyst, or similar role diligently applying principles, practices, and theory
  • Strong sense of ownership over deliverables, as this role will have end-to-end responsibilities for certain processes and procedures
  • Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate anywhere from the team level to C-level executives.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate business value and obtain buy-in for process and culture changes

Preferred:
  • Minimum two years of experience in the technology industry, knowledge of clickstream datasets a plus.
  • Experience with Data Governance tools such as Alation, Collibra, Informatica, etc.
  • Experience with Data Quality tools and/or Data Classification tools
  • High familiarity with data platforms and applications such as S3, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow and BI Tools such as Tableau, Looker, Microstrategy
  • Proficiency with Python, Pyspark or SQL
  • Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $138,000 - $181,650 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.
