Job description

The Department of Athletics at Wofford College, a member of the Southern Conference, is seeking applications for a Marketing & Video (Broadcast) Intern. Wofford College sponsors 20 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic programs.

This is a 10-month internship beginning in July 2026 and concluding in May 2027. The position will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist in the setup and execution of live game broadcasts for ESPN+ across multiple athletic events.

  • Support control room operations, including replay, graphics, audio, camera operation, and directing.

  • Collaborate with the broadcast team to ensure smooth, high-quality live productions.

  • Assist in pre-production planning, including equipment setup, testing workflows, and preparation of broadcast elements.

  • Operate and maintain broadcast equipment, including cameras, switchers, replay systems, graphics machines, and audio gear.

  • Contribute to post-production efforts by clipping highlights and editing content for recaps and digital platforms.

  • Capture and produce supplemental creative content around live events for social media and digital platforms, including behind-the-scenes footage and real-time highlights.

  • Collaborate with on-air talent and production staff to enhance storytelling and overall broadcast quality.

  • Ensure all broadcasts meet conference, NCAA, and ESPN+ standards and expectations.

  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues during live productions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant AD for Marketing and Video.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest or experience in sports broadcasting, video production, or live event production.

  • Working knowledge of broadcast equipment and production workflows.

  • Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro or similar).

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
