What is a spoiler alert?

Spoiler Alert jobs typically refer to positions at Spoiler Alert, a company that provides software solutions to help food businesses manage excess inventory and minimize food waste. Employees at Spoiler Alert may work in roles such as software engineering, customer success, sales, and data analysis. The company focuses on sustainability and helping clients optimize their supply chains, so roles often involve working with technology and food industry partners to implement waste reduction strategies. Working at Spoiler Alert offers the opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability while developing skills in technology and business operations.

What are the main responsibilities and challenges for someone working in a spoiler alert (food waste technology) role?

In a Spoiler Alert role, you will typically help food businesses manage surplus inventory and reduce waste through technology-driven solutions. Daily tasks may involve collaborating with supply chain teams, analyzing data to identify excess products, and coordinating with buyers or donation partners. A key challenge is balancing the priorities of waste reduction with business objectives, often requiring creative problem-solving and effective communication across departments. Team members work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where adaptability and proactive thinking are highly valued.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a supply chain analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Supply Chain Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, and a background in supply chain management or a related field, often supported by a relevant bachelor's degree. Familiarity with ERP systems, data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, and certifications such as APICS CSCP are highly valuable. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills help analysts collaborate across departments and drive process improvements. These skills ensure efficient operations, cost savings, and strategic decision-making within complex supply chains.

Job description

Are your TikTok FYP recommendations suspiciously accurate? Do your friends rely on you to find the best restaurants, coordinate the trip itineraries, and find the latest trends? We're looking for someone who's equal parts trend-obsessed and detail-oriented to join our growing influencer marketing team.

WHO WE ARE
Open Influence is a global, award-winning creator marketing company, providing premium, end-to-end creator marketing solutions. Since 2013, we have been pioneering the creator economy, executing social-first strategies for over 1,500 top brands-including Universal, Spotify, Google, FOX, Target, and more! As a platform-agnostic and talent-agnostic partner, we connect brands with the right creators, on the right channels, to drive measurable impact and business growth.

We won't bury the lead: success in this role requires a creative "free-range" mindset, paired with immaculate project management skills and attention to the finer details. We combine our passion for culture with an infectious commitment to driving meaningful results for our clients. Sure, every agency will have a 'work hard, play harder' environment. Our approach is: work smarter, play better. With a 92% renewal rate, brands don't just work with us-they stay with us.

A job description won't do Open Influence's company culture justice, but we'll give you a snapshot in a few bullets.

  • We understand that culture starts at the top. Our management team has an ''open door' policy at all times, and actively creates safe, inclusive spaces to connect, share, and strategize.
  • We recognize and celebrate each other's wins, and pick each other up when we stumble (which, spoiler alert: we all do).
  • We aren't afraid to look in the mirror. We continually learn, grow, and improve what we do and how we do it.

THE ROLE

The Account Coordinator is responsible for owning influencer sourcing and communication for various Open Influence clients, working closely with Account Managers throughout campaign execution from kickoff to reporting. Candidates for this position are highly motivated, self-assured team players with strong communication and social media skills. You will be a part of a high-caliber team in an industry that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign execution
  • Manage talent communications in accordance with larger campaign strategy
  • Analyze campaigns and work with account managers to optimize performance
  • Ownership of the influencer search and selection process
  • Create, own and update campaign data spreadsheets
  • Conduct talent vetting of and negotiations with potential campaign talent
  • Ensure influencer content creation is following all brand guidelines and legal requirements
  • Conduct detailed screening of campaign analytics & daily monitoring of post-activity
  • Craft campaign presentations or campaign briefs for influencers
  • Develop streamlined processes using creative problem-solving tactics for unique campaign opportunities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1+ years of relevant work experience in marketing or social media
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Excited about social strategy and have a passion for influencers
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented
  • Have a fun and positive working attitude!

Please note: This is a hybrid role with an onsite expectation of 2 days per week in the Los Angeles office.

The expected salary range for this role is $55,000-$60,000 USD, depending on experience.
