APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Work with various Apple teams to onboard logs to Splunk, understand requirements, develop searches and dashboards. Work on performance enhancement of Splunk searches, dashboards, and ingestion. Troubleshoot Splunk deployments. Develop and manage custom python scripts to integrate with Splunk. Maintain multiple high volume Splunk enterprise deployments. Engage in continuous improvement activities and delivery and operational practices. Provide architecture and design development in large scale enterprise level Splunk operations. Build effective and useable Splunk dashboards, and create, maintain, and update technical documentation of Splunk architecture and configuration. Responsible for the full system life cycle, including configuration and deployment in user acceptance test and production environment. Build CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for on-going demands. Manage Add-on applications like DB Connect, MS exchange, Box. Provide Splunk training, use case demos to team members and users. Work with business teams to develop dashboards to provide visibility into supply chain business processes. Create velocity alerts for business critical and time sensitive data. Be a subject matter expert on key processes to provide meaningful insights on key supply chain transactions. Analyze data and develop KPIs to empower Apple teams in making data-driven decisions. 40 hours/week.
Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:Using Python to develop automation scripts and Splunk SDK integrations for onboarding data sources, supporting observability workflows, and building internal tooling.Using REST API and HTTP Event Collector (HEC) to integrate external systems and transmit log data into Splunk for real-time ingestion and correlation.Managing distributed Splunk environments, including indexer clustering, search head clustering, forwarder management, and implementation of role-based access control.Managing data ingestion pipelines into Splunk, including source type configuration, line breaking, parsing, and Common Information Model (CIM)-based normalization for structured and unstructured logs.Designing and building dashboards and visualizations in Splunk using SPL and JavaScript to provide insights into application performance and business metrics.Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git to automate deployment, version control, and continuous integration of Splunk configurations, custom apps and dashboards.Optimizing Splunk search performance using summary indexing, field extractions, and data model acceleration to support faster query execution and user-facing reports.Using SQL with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MSSQL, including integration with Splunk via DB Connect for enriched reporting and data correlation.Using infrastructure-as-code tools including Ansible to provision and manage infrastructure for observability platforms including Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.Implementing real-time KPI alerting mechanisms for business-critical workflows including supply chain tracking, SLA adherence, and incident detection.
