Job Summary
  • Seeking a Data Scientist to support mission-focused analytics by developing data-driven solutions that enable optimization, automation, and collection processing
  • This role involves working with diverse data sources, building tools to retrieve and process data, and applying analytic techniques to extract meaningful insights
  • The ideal candidate is proficient in Python-based data processing, comfortable working with APIs, and experienced in handling complex data workflows

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply data science techniques to support optimization, automation, and data collection processing
  • Build and utilize tools to retrieve, process, and analyze data through API interaction
  • Perform data aggregation, transformation, and analysis using Python and data frameworks
  • Develop data visualizations and analytic outputs to communicate findings and support decision-making
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to support dataflow understanding and processing pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate mission needs into analytic solutions
  • Support development and refinement of data processing tools and workflows
  • Document methodologies and maintain reproducible analysis practices
  • Continuously learn and adopt new techniques, including AI/ML capabilities through training opportunities

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)
  • Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position
  • Proficiency in Python, including data frame manipulation and aggregation (e.g., pandas)
  • Experience with API interaction and building tools to retrieve and process data
  • Strong understanding of data processing, transformation, and analysis
  • Ability to work with complex dataflows and datasets
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with AI/ML techniques for analytics, automation, or optimization
  • Data visualization experience using Plotly, Shapely, or GeoPandas
  • Familiarity with XKS/DX and dataflow concepts
  • Experience with Splunk, SQL, Elastic, Kibana, or networking
  • Front-end development experience using Bootstrap (HTML) or Pyodide
  • Background or experience with SIGINT data collection environments

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
135,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Ft. Meade MD)
