Sr. Systems Engineer Riverside, CA / Hybrid Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP clearance Blu Omega is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a federal program focused on border security and surveillance operations. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for evaluating and supporting mission-critical C4I communications and sensor systems, network infrastructure, and systems integration in a mission-driven environment. Program Overview Support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations (AMO) mission activities through integrated air and marine surveillance and communications systems that help detect, interdict, and prevent unlawful activity at or across U.S. borders. Key Details Location: Riverside, CA / Hybrid Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP clearance Responsibilities * Evaluate and analyze C4I communications capability, infrastructure, and interoperability * Assess installation and functionality of C4I sensors, radar, and data inputs * Review network cabling, infrastructure, and bandwidth to support operational efficiency * Support system, network, and communication configurations, including wired and data flow diagrams Required Qualifications * 10+ years of experience in systems, network, or cybersecurity engineering supporting mission-critical environments * Experience evaluating C4I communications and sensor systems * Knowledge of network infrastructure, bandwidth analysis, and system verification Preferred Qualifications * Experience with satellite communications, enterprise architecture, and complex sensor integrations * Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as STIG hardening, NIST RMF, and secure system design * Prior work supporting DHS or federal border security operations Compensation Salary Range: $138,000.00 - $151,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
