Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in hospice care to join a supportive healthcare team focused on delivering exceptional end-of-life services. This role involves providing patient-centered care in home or hospice settings, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families throughout the hospice journey.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Conduct initial physical evaluations and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and manage symptoms following established protocols.
  • Educate and support patients and families on end-of-life care options and resources.
  • Coordinate services and maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary group and primary providers.
  • Perform venipuncture or collect lab specimens as ordered.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid for practice.
  • Previous experience in hospice, palliative, or critical care settings is preferred.
  • Completion of hospice philosophy and care training is required.
Requirements
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory standards.
