Job description

Field Service Technician – Electro-Spindles 


Hiring in: Duluth, GA 


ProSearch Recruiting Partners, an independent franchise of the MRINetwork that specializes in hiring for factory automation OEMs and integrators is hiring for a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-technology electromechanical components for industrial machine tools. This position will support customers through maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electro-spindle systems. 


The Field Service Technician will be responsible for: 

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in electro-spindles and associated machine systems 
  • Performing disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and rebuilding of electro-spindle components 
  • Rebuilding spindles including bearing replacement, shaft grinding, housing boring, and mechanical adjustments 
  • Conducting performance testing and reliability verification, including vibration analysis, temperature monitoring, and runout measurement 
  • Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to support repair and diagnostics 
  • Operating electronic and mechanical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, micrometers, and dial indicators 
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair documentation using computer systems 
  • Collaborating with engineering teams and senior technical leadership in Italy to resolve complex technical issues 
  • Communicating clearly with customers regarding technical issues, repair status, and preventative maintenance strategies 
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of PPE 
  • Traveling to customer facilities when necessary to diagnose system-level issues involving machine integration or electrical connections 


The Field Service Technician will have the following experience: 

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronic Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or similar discipline preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience) 
  • Experience servicing or repairing electro-mechanical machinery or machine tool components 
  • Experience with spindles, rotating equipment, CNC machinery, or woodworking machinery is highly preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems 
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics 
  • Experience using diagnostic and test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and motor diagnostic tools 
  • Ability to work independently and operate autonomously in a technical role 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with international technical teams 
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%, primarily regionally 
  • Experience working directly on industrial machines or machine components
