Job description

Spike-It Outdoors, Inc. is hiring a full-time Warehouse Worker. The current schedule is 6 am to 5 pm, Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of transitioning to a Monday through Friday workweek in the future.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The principal functions of this position are to:

  • Locate products in the warehouse using digital inventory systems or pick lists for online fulfillment.
  • Accurately pick and pull products from shelves using barcode scanners.
  • Inspect products for damage or quality issues before packaging.
  • Pack the products securely, using appropriate materials.
  • Confirm the order's accuracy before sealing and tagging it.
  • Attach the correct shipping label and include the appropriate paperwork.
  • Move completed orders to the shipping area.
  • Complete paperwork as necessary.
  • Keep products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
  • Perform cycle counts, report discrepancies, and assist with receiving and stocking.
  • Work efficiently with team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping targets.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safety practices.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should possess and demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to walk/stand for 10-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 60 lb. packages daily.
  • Proficiency with computers, iPads, handheld scanners, and order management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, and follow-through.
  • Punctuality and good time management skills.
  • Great team spirit.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in a growing organization.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Background and/or drug test may be required.
