Job description

Summit Racing Equipment Retail Customer Service Representative

If you enjoy talking about cars and car parts, then drive on in and join Summit Racing Equipment The World's Speed Shop! We are currently hiring an in-store Retail Customer Service Representative and seeking energetic and personable individuals.

Starting pay is $15.00 an hour with opportunities for performance-based compensation and an amazing employee discount!

Qualifications:
  • Some previous Retail experience
  • Cashier experience in retail store setting
  • Basic car parts knowledge and/or a passion for cars
  • Ability to work some evenings (up to 8:30pm) and at least 2 weekend days: Friday and/or Saturday and/or Sunday.

* Candidates with STRONG, PROVEN AUTOMOTIVE PARTS KNOWLEDGE may qualify for an elevated position at a higher starting pay rate.

Our store is open 7 days/week and work shifts will vary. A successful applicant must be able to work full time and have a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist customers in person by answering questions and supporting product returns or exchanges.
  • Process purchases via cash or credit card.
  • Obtain merchandise requested by customers and place merchandise in a bag or box. Assist customers in carrying out larger items to their vehicle.
  • Process returns and completes paperwork for warranty returns when a return specialist is not available.
  • Stocks shelves and counters with merchandise.
  • Assist in setting up advertising displays or arranging merchandise on counters to promote sales.
  • Assist in inspecting product and merchandising in the Outlet Center.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Intermediate level of computer knowledge.
  • 6+ months of customer service or cashier experience and/or training in a retail environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift up 70 lbs and stand or walk the entirety of shift (min 8 hours/day).
  • Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen.
