This role sits on the Nike Direct Running leadership team and leads a team of Nike Running/ACG merchants focused on Nike Stores across North America. They partner daily with Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Retail Brand, and field teams to translate strategy into premium, consistent in-store execution at scale.

They thrive in fast-moving environments, navigate ambiguity with purpose, and elevate partnerships across functions to deliver one integrated retail vision.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in merchandising
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • A strong understanding of retail and stores specifically a plus.
  • Strong affinity for product strength and is able to curate a vision clearly
  • Footwear, apparel, and/or equipment merchandising experience
  • Proven expertise in franchise management and understanding of retail key performance indicators and profit-based metrics
  • Strong strategy building skills that shape the future of the business

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You set the direction for Nike Running/Acg merchandising in Nike Stores across North America-owning strategy through in-season execution. You turn consumer insight into curated assortments and lead teams to deliver premium, localized experiences at scale.
  • Define and lead the North America Running/ACG Nike Stores merchandising and buying strategy, aligned to brand priorities and seasonal moments
  • Curate assortments that drive traffic, conversion, units per transaction, and margin across a diverse store fleet
  • Lead in-season business management, reading and reacting to performance, demand, and local market dynamics
  • Partner closely with Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Retail Brand, and field teams to ensure strong door-level execution
  • Monitor and act on key store performance indicators including revenue, margin, and sell-through
  • Identify growth opportunities across door types, store formats, and priority cities
  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing merchandising team grounded in consumer-first thinking
