A Speech Pathology Externship is a supervised clinical training experience for students pursuing a degree in speech-language pathology. It provides hands-on practice in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in various settings, such as hospitals, schools, or rehab centers. Externs work under licensed speech-language pathologists, gaining real-world experience and fulfilling academic or certification requirements. This externship helps students develop clinical skills, apply theoretical knowledge, and prepare for professional practice.
