Job description

Help patients improve communication, swallowing, and quality of life from the comfort of their own homes. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll evaluate needs, create individualized care plans, and partner with an interdisciplinary care team to support meaningful recovery.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Assess the patient's home environment and identify equipment needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized, physician-approved plans of care with measurable therapy goals.
  • Provide dysphagia therapy and recommend appropriate diet modifications in coordination with the care team.
  • Recommend and train patients and caregivers on AAC devices and home exercise programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Submit accurate clinical documentation in accordance with JCAHO standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT, OT, and other care team members through care conferences and interdisciplinary planning.
What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree from an ASHA-approved Speech-Language Pathology program, including the required clinical internship, or as mandated by applicable law and/or regulation.
  • Meets all education and experience requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA.
  • Active certification to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience.
  • Current CPR certification maintained throughout employment in a clinical role.
  • Valid driver's license and properly insured personal vehicle.
