Job description

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (Outpatient) 
Address: Napa, CA 94558
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 9:00 AM - 05:30 PM
Pay Rate: $50/hr (W2) | $53/hr (1099)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
 

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support their Outpatient Rehabilitation Department.
This 13-week travel opportunity in Napa, CA offers an excellent chance to gain experience across a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions while working in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide rehabilitative care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting
  • Treat a wide range of diagnoses, including:
    • Post-operative orthopedic cases: TKA, THA, RCR, spinal surgeries, ACL repairs, arthroscopies
    • Non-operative issues: neck, low back, knee, shoulder, foot/ankle pain
    • Neurologic conditions: CVA, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury (TBI), general deconditioning, gait/balance issues
  • Document using the Epic charting system
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Occasionally float to acute inpatient rehab as needed
  • Participate in patient education, treatment planning, and discharge preparation

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Active California PTA license (no pending licenses)
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience is preferred, but strong candidates with less than 1 year will be considered
  • Comfort working with a variety of post-operative, non-operative, and neurologic outpatient diagnoses
  • Ability to float to acute inpatient rehab settings as needed
  • Spanish-speaking preferred (not required)
