POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Diversified Services, Inc. a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation has a great opportunity for a full-time Shift Supervisor supporting our Airbus Helicopter customer located in Columbus, Mississippi.
This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.
The role of the Full-time Shift Supervisor includes but is not limited to a variety of security related duties. Shift Supervisors must be familiar with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Post Orders. They will supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries. They provide direct guidance and oversight of the Protective Security Officers which include numerous security duties across the security spectrum that include but are not limited to: Entrance/Exit posts; Roving Posts; Traffic Control; Control, Issuance and Storage of Keys; Security and Fire Systems; Building Rules and Regulations; Unauthorized Access; Response to Injury/Illnesses; Flying the US Flag, and other additional duties as required by contract.
  • Supervises day-to-day activities of all Protective Security Officers on assigned shift.
  • Ensures all training and required licensing for position is completed.
  • Appraises, rewards, and disciplines employees.
  • Reviews paperwork generated during shift for accuracy and completeness and corrects any discrepancies.
  • Monitors and approves payroll of all employees assigned to them.
  • Ensures quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift.

Pay rate: $16.50 to $17.00 Hourly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have Armed License for MS
  • Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation.
  • Must speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications.
  • Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, to include weekend and Holidays.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam.
  • Ability to write legibly, using proper grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to acquire a knowledge of all contracted site locations, including each site's geographical layout.
  • Applicant must possess all required state Security Officer Licenses.
  • Ability to acquire the knowledge necessary to operate base radio and computer terminal equipment.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Guardtek
  • Ability to create working/emergency schedules if needed
  • Ability to perform routine clerical work
  • Ability to follow moderately complex oral instructions.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under heavy workload and emergency situations.
  • Ability to speak with a clear, well-modulated and pleasant voice and to use good grammatical construction in choice of words.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client, public safety employees and the public.
  • Ability to monitor CCTV systems and working knowledge of all systems at site level.
