 Core Functions: 

  • Lead and execute operational strategies to drive productivity, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production capabilities for both custom and proprietary products.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish and achieve long-term growth, profitability, and operational excellence objectives.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance results.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to align manufacturing strategies with business goals and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative purchasing, design, manufacturing, and distribution solutions that support business growth and customer expansion.
  • Develop short- and long-range operational plans, budgets, and resource strategies to meet current and future business demands.
  • Review and support new business opportunities, including product quotations, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen product development, manufacturing efficiency, and overall resource utilization.
  • Develop and manage performance-based incentive programs and employee development initiatives.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships and provide regular updates to executive leadership on key operational issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Background/Expertise: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of manufacturing operations leadership experience, preferably in plastics or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic business objectives with hands-on operational execution.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, purchasing, budgeting, and business performance drivers.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex or undefined situations.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Track record of delivering operational improvements, business growth, and successful product development within budget and timeline expectations.

  • Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods as needed.
