Job description

2 current openings 2nd Shift Supervisor and 3rd Shift Supervisor. The following is a brief description of the duties and responsibilities relating to these positions. These duties and responsibilities are not intended to be all encompassing:

Primarily responsible for the successful execution of the daily agenda as passed down from those directly related with departments performance. Maintain open, daily communication (verbal and e mail) with area mangers to assure efficiency of operations and apprise them of any unusual occurrence (equipment failures, personnel issues, etc) that take place during your shift. Oversee and direct subordinates for providing effective and efficient operating practices that ultimately lead to conforming production standards and quality. Recommend solutions to challenges and opportunities that improve performance in all facets of the manufacturing spectrum. Trouble shoot and analyze production non-conformities inclusive of faulty work, production delays and material shortages. In addition, plan and arrange for both planned maintenance and repair of equipment as needed. Provide input (either by request or by necessity) related costs, methods, design changes, quality control and safety. Enforce Company rules and regulations.

Qualified applicants must possess and exhibit the following skills and characteristics:

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft office) and be willing to become proficient in the use of Plex.

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to use correct English, spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary.

  • Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to remain calm and to be flexible to changing schedules or timelines.
  • Have the ability to analyze difficult and or sensitive situations and adopt an effective course of action.
