The Electromagnetic Spectrum Analyst’s primary tasks are to conduct assessments of supporting Defense Critical Infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities which can be exploited by the Unmanned Aircraft Systems threat. Ability to apply Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principals to evaluate spectrum dependent technologies. Familiarization with a wide variety of spectrum dependent systems including radars, communications, data links, SATCOM, GPS technologies. Additionally, the analyst will need to determine root causes and recommend methods of resolution; and provide expert advice on the development, integration, operation of and planning for spectrum specific countermeasures.
 
Duties:
  • Develop an overall picture of our client’s structure, day-to-day operations, and outcomes in a manner previously not thought of before.
  • Discuss and engage with stakeholders to identify the elements that work best within their environment while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Present the path forward and the expected results to leaders and senior clients.
 
Required Experience: 
  • 10 years demonstrated experience in the following areas:
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced sensor systems concepts, assess specifications, and perform system integration.
  • Testing, modeling, or evaluating Spectrum Dependent Systems, RF System Capabilities Analysis, Systems Integration, Spectrum Policy, General RF and electronic technology experience, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), RF Engineering, or Spectrum Management. Demonstrated experience in complex radar system software requirement definition and allocation.
  • Experience in the application of EMI, EMC criteria, or other engineering criteria for operational spectrum coordination and compatibility analyses.
  • Experience in the operation and evaluation of communications, combat systems, electronic warfare systems, navigation aids, and other spectrum-dependent systems, with the ability to conduct analytical evaluation of systems’ RF compatibility and develop frequency plans for operational use. performing information/data collection, analysis, and fusion.
 
Desired Experience:
  • Experience working in a DoD environment, including with military departments, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, Service, or Agency IT organizations and environments
  • Knowledge of Defense Command, Control, and Communications (C3)
  • Knowledge of DoD EMS, Electromagnetic Warfare, and wide data solutions
 
Education: 
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other related STEM degree from an accredited US institution.
Security Clearance: 
  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility 
 
Additional Requirements:
  • Accept worldwide deployments which include high threat permissive areas presenting some risks to personal safety.
  • Submit to immunization for worldwide travel.
