Job description

Position Description: Grant Administrator

Position Type: Volunteer (Unpaid)

Time Commitment: Flexible; 5–10 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

Reports to: Resource Development Manager

Location: Primarily remote.

Overview:

The Grant Administrator is responsible for the full spectrum of grant proposal development, including identifying organizational needs and funding sources, crafting compelling proposals, providing technical support and training, and managing all grant-related recordkeeping and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with Deliverance Charities' mission and programs.
  • Write and edit grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documents.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather necessary information for proposals, including budgets, program details, and impact data.
  • Maintain an organized calendar of grant deadlines and submission dates.
  • Assist in reporting and follow-ups for awarded grants.
  • Stay updated on trends in grant funding and nonprofit development.

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and communication skills, with an ability to craft persuasive narratives.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent research skills.
  • Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising is a plus, but not required.
