Responsibilities
- Arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to work.
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom sanitation.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
- Refill paper products, soap dispensers, and other supplies as needed.
- Maintain floors through stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning as needed.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment as required.
- Assist with outdoor sweeping or seasonal upkeep when applicable.
- Works safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
- Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly manner.
- All other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours, including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written forms.
- Work independently and exercise good judgment and initiative.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, stooping, lifting, and walking.
- Physical demands of prolonged repetitive motions normally associated with mopping, sweeping, buffing, dusting, and climbing.
- Ability to work inside or outside environments.
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
