About the Role:

The Electrical Inspector is a member of the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) staff, operating under the direction of the CQC Manager, or a specific Electrical Quality Manager also under the CQC Manager, on a large-scale federal construction project in Honolulu. This position is responsible for the inspection and testing of electrical systems and equipment throughout all phases of construction, ensuring all work complies with contract requirements, applicable codes, and project specifications. The Electrical Inspector must be on site during testing and during progress of work through the CQC preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.

You won't be doing routine work. You'll be on the ground at a large-scale federal construction project at a major U.S. military installation in Honolulu, ensuring that every conduit, panel, and connection meets the exacting standards of federal construction - work that directly supports national defense infrastructure. As an Electrical Inspector on this project, you'll bring your expertise to one of the most technically demanding and professionally rewarding environments in the industry. What You’ll Do:

• Conduct inspections of electricaldistributionsystems and equipment installation throughout all phases of construction, verifying compliance with contract documents,NEC, NFPA 70, and applicable federal and local codesforindoors and outdoorsinteriorand exteriorincluding servicesapplications, conductors, equipment, components, fixtures,applicancesappliances, devices and electrical appurtenances forone- and two-family dwellings up to 400 amperes.federal construction.
• Review and interpret construction documents including blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders for electrical scope
• Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports documenting inspection activities,observeddeficiencies, corrective actions, and construction progress, usingelectronicproject managementsystems.
• Verify contractor compliance with all applicable electrical codes and project-specific standards
• Coordinate electrical inspection activities with required Special Inspections per contract documents and the International Building Code (IBC)
• Track and document field changes, material test results, and as-built conditions
• Identifynon-conformances and deficiencies;maintainrecords and follow up to verify corrective actions are completed
• Participate in pre-installation meetings, pre-final inspections, and final inspections for electrical scope
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and the QC Manager to resolve electrical quality issues

What You Bring:

Required:

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in electrical construction, installation, or inspection
• Current International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Commercial Electrical Inspector (E2and orE3)
• Working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, and applicable federal electrical standards
• Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings
• Strong written communication skills; ability to prepare clear,accuratedaily inspection reports, clearly and professionally with contractual citations.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record 
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation, satisfy applicable Homeland Security screening requirements, and obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential for access to Military Base. 
• Must pass random drug testing, comply with military installation rules and access protocols, and work on site, including occasional weekends, nights, or federal holidays asproject demands require.  Pay beyond 40 hours a weekwill be 1.5time hourly and in addition to holiday pay hours as this position is non-exempt. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journey-level electrician experience with focus on installation and testing of electrical systems in commercial, institutional, or federal construction
• Experience on federal, USACE, NAVFAC, or other DoDconstruction projects
• NFPA 70E electrical safety standards training within the last three (3) years
• Familiarity with USACE Resident Management System (RMS) andContractorQuality Control (CQC)
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training
• Proficiency in Procoreand Bluebeam

Hourly Wage:  $40.87 – $52.88 /hour

The hourly rate range listed reflects the expected pay for this position based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
