Job Summary:
Responsible for providing friendly, excellent service to all internal and external guest at the Guest Services Center. Answers all Casino rewards program questions, encourages rewards program loyalty, and advertises property events, promotions, and prizes. Responsible for conducting guest transactions in an accurate and efficient manner; including exchange of gaming instruments for cash, maintaining the cage cash summary, cage balance sheet, Title 31 MTL log and all paperwork. Responsible for providing transaction authorization to Guest Services Cashiers when necessary. Responsible for preparing for and assisting with Kiosk cash fills and ATM cash fills.
Qualifications:
Minimum six months previous guest service experience and cash handling experience, preferably in a casino, required. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner; possess excellent guest relations, communication skills and good organizational skills. Must be detailed oriented and positive team player. Experience with and knowledge of Title 31 preferred. Must possess basic math and computer skills, including Excel. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Promote property events by making daily announcements.
  • Assist players as needed including but not limited to: walking players through promotional kiosk, answering questions about promotional activities and rewards, getting new player sign ups.
  • Greet and welcome all guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Use company technology to aid in Casino rewards program services.
  • Actively participate in all marketing endeavors from concept planning to execution of events.
  • Facilitate property promotions, events, and giveaways.
  • Provide timely service in a friendly and courteous manner; respond to and resolve guest complaints when able.
  • Act as emcee for drawings, giveaways and special events when needed.
  • Answer guest and team member questions and be knowledgeable about property events and attractions.
  • Maintain accurate records for all guests and accounts to be able to effectively communicate same.
  • Promote and enroll guests in Truckee Gaming's One Card rewards program
  • Perform cash transactions of gaming and monetary instruments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all data and guest information.
  • Maintain accuracy of both cash drawer and all paperwork involved in transactions.
  • Maintain available funds in all property ATM Kiosks, participating in fills and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and supply property outlet banks.
  • Maintain cage shift cash summary and balance sheets.
  • Balance Main Bank within variance policy standards.
  • Provide system authorizations for Guest Services Cashiers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and ADA Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to and including the full shift. Must be able to converse over the telephone in a clear and efficient manner in an environment with loud background noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to stoop, bend and reach. Must have the manual dexterity required to write and operate computer/cash register. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of many guests. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
