Duties
Help
  • You will manage all communications developmental programs identified as potential solutions to operational shortfalls.
  • You will interpret and establish policy for analyzing and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of research and development-related programs.
  • You will interpret and adapt specific guidelines to address operational and technological deficiencies.
  • You will participate in field testing of communication devices, equipment, systems, and components.
  • You will develop after-action reports and other reports as necessary.
  • You will provide training to system users and write procedures and manuals on newly developed systems.
  • You will identify potential solutions to specific operational needs.
  • You will perform a wide variety of administrative and civilian duties.
  • You will plan and schedule work to be accomplished by subordinates.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 801, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing communication programs which include research, development, and the implementation of a wide range of non-standard communications devices, equipment systems, and components; AND identify and prioritize operational shortfalls and areas for potential development projects.
