Job description

Sterile Processing Account Specialist (Hospital-Based)

Denver, CO | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $65,000–$73,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

Ready for the next step in your Sterile Processing career?

If you're an experienced Sterile Processing Technician who's ready to move beyond the daily routine of tray assembly—but still wants to make a direct impact on patient care—this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

We're seeking a Sterile Processing Account Specialist to support one dedicated hospital in the Denver metro area. This is a unique, hospital-based role where you'll partner with SPD and OR leadership, improve workflows, solve real-time challenges, and help ensure surgical teams have what they need to provide exceptional patient care.

No travel. No rotating facilities. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Just one hospital, one team, and the opportunity to become a trusted clinical resource.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity
  • Competitive salary: $65,000–$75,000 based on experience

  • Monday–Friday schedule with consistent daytime hours

  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company benefits

  • Paid time off and sick leave

  • Long-term career stability with an established healthcare organization

  • Opportunity to transition into the medical device and clinical support industry

  • Meaningful work that directly impacts operating room efficiency and patient outcomes

What You'll Do

As the on-site Sterile Processing expert, you'll work alongside hospital leadership to improve processes and keep surgical services running efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with SPD and OR leaders to support daily operations

  • Ensure instrument trays are complete, accurate, and ready for scheduled procedures

  • Audit instrumentation, tray quality, and workflow processes

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce delays

  • Deliver hands-on education, coaching, and staff in-services

  • Support process improvement and standardization initiatives

  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and workflow challenges before they impact patient care

  • Build strong relationships with clinical teams across the hospital

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others, solving problems, and improving systems—not spending every shift assembling trays.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of Sterile Processing, Central Service, Surgical Services, or Operating Room experience

  • Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization processes, and tray management

  • Experience collaborating with SPD and OR teams

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of your hospital account

Preferred Certifications

  • CRCST (HSPA)

  • CBSPD

  • CST

Ideal Backgrounds

This opportunity is a great fit for experienced:

  • Sterile Processing Technicians

  • Senior Sterile Processing Technicians

  • Lead Sterile Processing Technicians

  • SPD Supervisors

  • Sterile Processing Educators

  • Instrument Coordinators

  • Central Service Managers

  • Surgical Technologists looking for a new challenge

  • OR Liaisons

  • Clinical Specialists

Why Experienced Sterile Processing Professionals Apply

This isn't another production-based SPD position.

It's an opportunity to use your expertise to improve workflows, mentor clinical teams, support the operating room, and build a long-term career with greater visibility, autonomy, and professional growth—all while enjoying a predictable Monday–Friday schedule.

If you're ready to take the next step in your career without leaving the clinical environment behind, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and bring your Sterile Processing expertise to a role where your knowledge truly makes a difference.
