Job description

Role description:

The Electrician Automation Specialist is responsible for all electrical work and maintenance throughout the facility. This involves repairs, inspections, and new installations on all machinery.  This position requires being able to access machines to perform repairs, requiring at times, bending, stooping, kneeling and the manual manipulation of tools and equipment. The work area is loud and can be hot and cold at time.  The use of stairs and ladders is common. Most all work is done on your feet and very little work requires sitting.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in industrial control a/c & d/c, lighting, wiring, single and three phase 480 power. 
  • Knowledge and experience to write and troubleshoot PLC Coding using RS Logix and/or Automation Builder is required.
  • Must be able to analyze drawings and specifications.  
  • Receive and inspect wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications to resolve electrical needs
  • Plan and perform work on energized circuits
  • Connect all types of electrical equipment for new installations
  • Plan and perform skilled soldering repairs, installation, and calibration of thermocouple and pyrometer-controlled systems

Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • PLC and PC knowledge required.
  • Journeyman level Electrician experience
  • Experience in industrial control, lighting, and wiring
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Must be able to work around machinery with moving parts
  • Must be able to work around moving parts or vehicles
  • Must be able to work around excessive noice, continuous
  • Must be able to work around slippery and uneven walking surfaces such as climbing ladders and inclines.

Preferred skills / qualifications:

  • Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) experience

Compensation

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is $51.02 an hour. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
