Your Role:

The Chemical Operator will be responsible for performing the daily productionduties of the assigned production area along with the other Operators of the production team.This position will ensure optimum operation of equipment by maintaining full compliance with operating instructions and company policies and procedures as well as assuring the safe and environmentally compliant operation of the production processes.

Your job duties include the following:Participating in process performance analysis and improvements within areas of responsibility, assisting other shift members by performing normal operator duties, packing containers, material handling, coordination of chemical transfers from vessel to vessel through filtration processes, maintaining technical databases, as requested, by Lead Operators and/or Production Management, reviewing shift notes andproviding detailedinformation of production status during shift turnovers for assigned areas, providing on-the-job training to Chemical Operator I classification, as requested, by Production Management.

This is an onsite position with a 12-hour rotating swing shift with occasional overtime.

Physical Attributes:

  • Work at times in extreme climates (high/low temperatures and humidity)
  • Climb stairs, ladders and walk long distances during the workday
  • Move and handle heavy objects with appropriate equipment
  • Will have annual physicals associated with material handling and PPE usage

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of manufacturing process experience
  • 6+ months of experience operating a forklift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of manufacturing process experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Associate degree in any discipline
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Technical knowledge in chemical manufacturing environment
  • SPC experience
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma and ISO certification.

Base Pay Range for this position - $24.00-$37.00 per hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
