Job description

SFI is searching for a ServiceNow Solution Architect who will lead the overall design and development of the ServiceNow platform. They will provide technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for the ServiceNow development team members. They will support customers and end-users to define their requirements based on the latest ServiceNow feature set. Additionally, they will work with Agile/SAFe software development experts to develop and implement technology capabilities which meaningfully improve the customer's business outcomes.


Please note, this role offers a flexible work arrangement, primarily remote with the understanding that on-site presence may be required to support client needs.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Receive complex input from product and business stakeholders, translate into requirements, and map them onto ServiceNow functionality.
  • Design and implement process workflows, automations, procedures and technical standards.
  • Design and implement ServiceNow tables, flow diagrams, and low code, in partnership with the product team and other stakeholders.
  • Design, review, and modify ServiceNow patterns as needed.
  • Invent and validate solutions, including algorithmic, to novel challenges.
  • Guide the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of interfaces/integrations with third parties.
  • Provide technical expertise and participate in implementing new ServiceNow functionality.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of the ServiceNow architecture at both a bird's-eye and granular level.
  • Clearly document ServiceNow architecture for use internally.
  • Participate in Agile/SAFe development, e.g., assist with estimating effort and system complexity.
  • Contribute to ServiceNow software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or related field/or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow development including process automation (orchestration), client scripts, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, data imports, custom apps, and web services integration SOAP, REST).
  • 5+ years of experience with Web development, including X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery or Angular and one or more of the following back-end technologies: JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java integrations in ServiceNow.
  • Strong domain expertise in ServiceNow platform applications: Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Hardware and Software Asset Management, Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and Performance Analytics.
  • Experienced implementing Security Operations (SecOps) functionality in ServiceNow integrating incident data from security tools into a structure response engine that uses intelligent workflows and automation.
  • Experienced in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including client requirement analysis and system design.
  • Ability to pull together and synthesize multiple strands in large-scale projects.
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/SAFe methodology.
  • Solid communication skills, and the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and technical designs.
  • Experience presenting technical material to senior business managers in a non-technical manner to ensure a clear understanding of how the risk(s) affects the mission and/or business functions.

  • The salary for this position is $110,000 - $185,000 annually.
  • SFI maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations.
