Located close to the Michigan/Ohio border, Toledo Tool and Die has diligently served the people of both of those great states since 1940. Toledo Tool & Die is adding Production Welder to our team to support our continued growth.


This is a full-time position based in Toledo, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment.


Come join our team! Hours for this position are typically

  • 1st shift: Monday- Friday, 4:00am- 2:00pm
  • 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 12:00am
  • 3rd shift: Monday- Friday, 10:00pm- 6:00am


*Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) *


WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing support in operations as a Welder which can include duties such as:
  • Setup welding equipment and supplies before executing the job orders; test and measure finished products.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively for welding.
  • Stop to make minor repairs of welding machinery when product or machines or not to standard.
  • Provide sufficient quantity of repaired parts to ensure delivery schedules are sustained.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
  • Handle time accounting and complete work order.
  • Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues have arisen, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and follow all instructions from supervisory staff quickly and precisely.
  • Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate Company procedures including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, ASME, NEC, etc. standards.
  • Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately.
Requirements:

· Required – High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

· Prefer 2 years of experience MIG and/or TIG welding steel and galvanized steel.

· Prefer 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools.

· Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship.

· Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling).

· Skilled in hand and power tool usage.

· Ability to follow proper safety procedures.

· Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues.

· Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds.

· Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
