Job description

Job Summary:
Spatial Front, Inc. is seeking a Modernization SME and ART lead to support their growing team. This role involves managing modernization efforts across enterprise platforms, particularly focusing on PeopleSoft modernization and driving an integrated approach across multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a senior modernization advisor, aligning initiatives across architecture, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Define and refine the modernization strategy and roadmap for large enterprise platforms, including sequencing, dependencies, and transition planning.
• Lead modernization efforts across core areas, such as PeopleSoft technology uplift, de-customization, technical debt reduction, cloud readiness, low-code/no-code modernization, AI/automation enablement, data quality improvement, DevSecOps, and help desk optimization.
• Provide deep expertise in PeopleSoft modernization, including upgrades, PUM strategy, environment uplift, integration modernization, platform stabilization, and long-term sustainment planning.
• Support modernization of operational support models, including service desk optimization, root cause analysis, monitoring, knowledge management, and continuous improvement.
• Assess current-state IT systems and architectures to develop actionable modernization roadmaps and recommendations.
• Collaborate with program leadership, architects, and government stakeholders to define strategies and priorities.
• Lead modernization planning activities, including business case development, risk assessment, and transition planning.
• Evaluate and recommend modernization technologies, platforms, and methodologies.
• Develop documentation such as strategy papers, roadmaps, and executive briefings.
• Provide thought leadership on federal IT modernization trends and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of legacy modernization, 5 years of transformation projects.
• Experience with PeopleSoft environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in: Legacy system analysis, modernization strategies, and architecture transformation.
• Experience with PeopleSoft de-customization and simplification of heavily customized platforms, low code/no code, or automation and technical debt reduction and platform stabilization.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.
Preferred:
• TOGAF, or equivalent modernization/architecture certification.
• PeopleSoft certifications.
• Experience in modernizing PeopleSoft.
• Experience with PeopleTools, PUM, and upgrades planning, environment strategy, and integration modernization.
• Knowledge of OCI and DevSecOps toolchains.
• Experience leading IT modernization programs within DoD or federal agencies.
• Experience with legacy system migration and application modernization patterns.
