Summary
SDI Presence is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Cloud Engineer with a special focus on multi-cloud/Hybrid architectures review and deployments. This is role, where you will be working with in-house cloud engineers, network team, systems teams, and delivery management teams. This team is working on hybrid and multiple public cloud services from Azure, AWS & GCP. This includes developing the architecture and providing guidance to development teams around the implementation of services and best practices for hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
Responsibilities
  • Solution a multi-cloud, hybrid cloud architecture that includes a combination of Private Cloud, multi-cloud service provider, and multiple public clouds (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Work with SDI and customer engineers to deliver three Proofs of Concept using the designed infrastructure
  • Update the infrastructure design based on PoC design, delivery, and outcomes
  • Work with SDI Sales and Solutions team to create a billing process
  • Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in cloud architecture, design, and management of cloud-based solutions and services.
  • Experience with large-scale cloud migration initiatives, including Azure to AWS transitions.
  • Ability to gather and translate business and technical requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure architecture, including secure environment design and disaster recovery planning.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools.
  • Experience with pipeline orchestration and end-to-end data workflow management across environments.
  • Familiarity with platform modernization, environment setup, and migration coordination.
  • Strong understanding of system integration and interoperability, particularly within healthcare platforms.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR, and data exchange patterns.
  • Experience with API-based integrations, file-based ingestion, and secure data transfer mechanisms.
  • Understanding of data pipeline frameworks, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
  • Exposure to identity and access management (IAM), security controls, and role-based access models.
  • Experience with validation, reconciliation, and data quality assurance processes during migrations.
  • Ability to evaluate new technologies and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Strong documentation skills for technical standards, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging cloud technologies and trends.
  • Strong expertise in leveraging data to inform decision making by utilizing spatial data, data mining, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with developing data-driven solutions to improve decision making while effectively communicating findings, interpreting complex data and guiding operating departments.
  • Proficiency in extracting information from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using statistical methods and algorithms that find patterns and relationships in large volumes of data.
  • Experience with preparing graphic and spatial presentations of data (e.g., charts, graphs, matrices, and maps), presenting information with organized facts and statistics to provide insight.
