Job description

Reporting Analyst will deliver accurate, timely, and actionable reporting that supports business decisions and client outcomes. This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to translate business questions into clear analysis, manage a high volume of varied reporting requests, and ensure outputs are accurate, well-documented, and fit for business use. The ideal candidate is energized by solving diverse data problems, communicates proactively, treats data quality and privacy as non-negotiable, and brings a service-oriented mindset to supporting stakeholders and teammates.
Ad hoc reporting
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests from stakeholders, translating business questions into clean, accurate analysis with appropriate context
  • Receive, triage, and fulfill the ad hoc requests within established SLA targets
  • Maintain a request queue, communicate status proactively, and flag capacity conflicts during peak periods
  • Identify recurring ad hoc requests and escalate candidates for automation or standard report development
  • Handle sensitive data, including PHI and/or PII, in accordance with company policies, privacy standards, and applicable regulatory requirements

Data Quality & Process Improvement
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure outputs are accurate, complete, and fit for business use.
  • Monitor re-run rates and analyze root causes; partner with the data visualization team to close self service reporting gaps that drive ad hoc volume
  • Document report specifications, data dictionaries, and business logic for all standard and recurring outputs
  • Contribute to data catalog initiatives

Technical Skills
  • Write production-quality SQL to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources
  • Use Python for data wrangling, automation of recurring processes, statistical analysis, and lightweight tooling
  • Maintain a personal queue of both ad hoc and recurring work, managing competing priorities transparently and proactively
  • Document your work - queries, logic, and outputs - so your analyses are reproducible and your teammates aren't starting from scratch
  • Build and maintain a library of parameterized report templates to reduce per-request development time

Education & Experience:
  • 2 -5 years experience in a reporting analyst role, ideally in a client-facing or multi-stakeholder environment in financial services or healthcare
  • Experience managing a high volume, varied requests across multiple stakeholder types
  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or similar

Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong, production-quality SQL - experience with complex joins and query optimization
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis
  • Use request management tools to track intake, prioritization, status, SLAs and delivery history
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to prioritize under deadline pressure
  • High attention to detail and built-in instinct to QA your own work
  • Familiarity with data warehouse environments (Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding or analytics tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar
  • Experience with Git Repo or similar
  • Experience with BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Ability to collaborate with data engineering, data visualization, product, operations, compliance, or account management as appropriate
  • Exposure to account management, financial services, and/or healthcare
