Senior GIS Developer

Hybrid in RESTON VA | Contract to hire

W2 position

The Senior GIS Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise geospatial applications, spatial databases, cloud-based GIS platforms, and location intelligence solutions that enable business operations, analytics, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative geospatial solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, data governance, and technology standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in GIS development, cloud technologies, and modern GeoAI capabilities, leveraging geospatial analytics, and AI-driven insights to solve complex business challenges and enhance organizational outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in, Geospatial Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 7+ years of experience developing GIS applications and geospatial solutions.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro).
  • Experience processing, managing, and analyzing imagery and raster datasets using ArcGIS Image Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Raster Analytics, or equivalent geospatial technologies.
  • Experience developing automated geospatial workflows for imagery processing, raster analytics, and data extraction.
