Job description

Amentum is seeking a Mid Geospatial Analyst to support a Federal government client. As a Mid Geospatial Analyst, you will but not limited to:
  • Conduct geospatial analysis of objects, networks, and persons using geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, imagery, social and physical sciences.

  • Exploit imagery, vector, and other data types to include non-geospatially correlated data to locate, identify, and map objects in the spatial domain.

  • Provide analysis on, but is not limited to, terrain mapping, route planning, and maritime geospatial activity.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in conducting geospatial analysis of objects, networks, and persons using geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, imagery, social and physical sciences.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of integrating geospatial data into all source products or analytical workflows as well as building and explaining geospatial models that leverage statistics data science, and appropriate quantitative methods.

  • Analyze and characterizes spatial-temporal data using GIS such as ArcGIS or QGIS.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for geospatial expertise, ensuring tradecraft compliance and analytic standards as it relates to geospatial analysis on the contract.

  • Provide advice on emerging geospatial methods, tools, algorithms, training, or requirements to advance DRI-7's analytic edge in relation to geospatial analysis.

  • Use geospatial tools, enterprise capabilities, methodologies, spatial and temporal data, imagery, social sciences, and physical sciences to exploit imagery, vector, and other data types, including non-geospatially correlated data, to identify and characterize evidence to support all-source analytic assessments.

  • Employ new and improved methodologies or data sets to address information gaps and identify areas of information to help resolve complex analytic problems and to ensure that solutions to analytical problems are rigorous and logical.

  • Exploit an understanding of community data sets, agency programs, machine learning, data science, and related disciplines to collaborate on analytic projects or programs throughout the DoD, IC, CCMDs, Foreign Partners, Academia, and Industry.

  • Provide deliverables that enhance analytic insight through the integration of new data sets and advanced analytic methods.

  • Leverage cartographic principles in all map products to ensure ease of use and interpretation.

  • Support DRI-7 efforts to vet or validate existing or emerging programs and capabilities.

  • Develop or discover algorithms and solutions to analyze, process, or visualize data that is larger than RAM or requires distributed processing.

  • Possess the GEOlNT Professional Certification - Geospatial Analysis (GA-II) for all Geospatial Analysts at the senior and SME experience levels.

Job Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a CI Polygraph or the ability to obtain this level of clearance.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific position with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.

  • Bachelor's degree in an area related to the position from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Compensation Details:

$90,000-$95,000

The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
