Translator Mid Shift – Kenny's Candy & Confections

Hours: 2:40pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Compensation:

  • All in hourly compensation: $23.58/hr
    • Base Pay: $21.09/hr
    • Sign on Bonus: $1.22/hr worked
    • 6% Shift Differential for Mid Shift: $1.27/hr
  • Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment ($7.7 Million in Profits Paid to Profit Sharing Pool in 2025)

What We Are Looking For

We’re now hiring a Mid Shift Translator to translate between the Spanish speaking staff and the English-speaking staff. To assist managers, supervisors, trainers, quality control and operators with communication and training of Spanish speaking workers.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure all employees are given the opportunity to give and receive good communication with others. 
  • Act as the go to person if the Spanish speaking worker has any questions. 
  • Assist Production Supervisor in providing Spanish speaking employees with job description, training checklist and any other work aid needed during the training process. 
  • Will work with the Spanish speaking staff each and every day. 
  • Will follow the designated training checklist forms while teaching and educating Spanish speaking employees on procedures and policies that affect both the employee and the product. 
  • Will report the progress of the Spanish speaking Employee to the Production Supervisor and work directly with the employee on any and all areas of concern. 
  • Work with Production Supervisor in training all required trainings in IFS. 
  • Assist Production Supervisor in getting employee any supplemental trainings scheduled. (Forklift, Scissor Lift, Electric Pallet Jack etc.) 
  • Attend any Translator meetings scheduled for updates on training, procedures, and policies. 
  • Assist/Perform group meetings in Spanish to cover items discussed in English meeting

Job Qualifications:

  • Attend safety trainings 
  • Follow all safety instructions 
  • Report any injuries or near miss accidents to supervisor 
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor 
  • Wear required PPE, including hearing protection and slip resistant shoes where necessary 
  • Make safety recommendations to any Safety Committee Member.
