Job description

Spanish Teacher, Middle School, Manville School District
Tenure Track, Full-Time Position
The Manville School District, a culturally diverse district in Somerset County serving approximately 1,700 students from Pre-K through grade 12, is seeking dynamic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our team.  The successful candidates will design and deliver high-quality instruction that supports Spanish language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) and cultural appreciation.  Responsibilities include developing engaging lesson plans aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards, utilizing instructional technology, and collaborating with the world languages department to enhance student learning outcomes. 


For those still in the process of attaining certification, Manville School District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program, which may allow you to work in a full-time role as you complete your final certification requirement.

Qualifications:

  • New Jersey Department of Education certification in Spanish
  • Experience teaching secondary level in Spanish
  • Strong skill set in lesson planning, behavior management, curriculum development, assessment, and integrating various educational resources 

Salary and Benefits in accordance with the Manville Education Association.  The annual salary range is commensurate with education level and years of experience, starting at $66,705 (minimum) to $95,850 (maximum).  Benefits: Medical, dental, flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, professional development, and mentoring.
