Location: Charter School

Milwaukee, WI | Education

Full Time: 10-month Contract

FLSA Status: Salaried, Overtime Ineligible

Salary Range: $48,713.28 To $63,564.91

Your Role: As a Bilingual Spanish Speaking (English and Spanish) teacher (7thโ€“8th Grade Reading & Writing), you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, standards-based literacy instruction focused on reading comprehension, writing development, and critical thinking skills. You will support middle school students in building strong academic literacy skills while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes growth and achievement. This Class will be taught in Spanish.


What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned with Common Core Standards and curriculum in Spanish.
  • Administer formal and informal assessments and use data to guide instruction and differentiation
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, Special Education staff, ESL staff, and administrators to support student learning Ensure instruction reflects best practices for English Language Learners (ELL/ESL) when applicable
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership Attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional development sessions
  • Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities in accordance with laws and policies
  • Contribute as a collaborative and supportive team member Perform other related duties as assigned


What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license in applicable area or ability to obtain a License with Stipulation (Emergency License)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required for bilingual positions (Spanish Language)
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks


Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in classroom and school settings.
