Job description

Job Summary Cleans interior surfaces, including but not limited to, vacuuming and extracting carpets; cleans, strips, waxes and buff floors; cleans light fixtures, furniture, walls and windows; cleans and sanitizes resident rooms and restrooms, collects and disposes waste, sanitizes garbage cans and ensures adequate stock of supplies are on hand Part-time Position: 20 hours/week, every Thursday and Friday from 7am-1pm and every other weekend from 7am-3:30pm Essential Duties Performs housekeeping tasks as in: extracts carpets & upholstered furniture; cleans, scrubs, strips and waxes floors, scrubs and wi-wax floors; dusts, washes, and polishes furniture, equipment and building surfaces, disinfects as required. Operates various types of cleaning equipment, both mechanical and electrical, e.g. buffers, wringers, scrubbers, extractors and vacuums Cleans equipment and requests work order for equipment needing repair

Reports safety hazards to supervisor. Climbs ladders to reach high areas for cleaning purposes Collects and disposes of waste and recycling materials. Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs Maintains awareness of all safety and quality assurance standards and procedures Maintains documentation as required Maintains good public relations with other departments Operates vehicles and drives responsibly.

Assumes additional responsibilities as needed. Performs related functions as assigned. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Floor Scrubbers Disinfectants & Sanitizers Carpet & upholstery extractors Vacuums Floor Machine / Buffers / Burnishers Variety of cleaning equipment and supplies Sewing machines Clothing label equipment Computer Minimum Qualifications Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma, plus one (1) year of cleaning experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver's License Must be able to pass FBI background check process Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in housekeeping. Have the ability to attend and complete In-services & Annual Education per State and Federal Regulations. Knowledge of Infection Control, Standard Precautions, Disinfectants, and HIPPA.

Knowledge of safety standards and ability to adhere to these standards. Ability to operate, clean, and maintain housekeeping equipment. Ability to lift and transport materials.

Ability to safely perform work while on ladders. Ability to recognize safety issues and report them. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Request work orders on all environmental surfaces, furniture, and equipment needing repair through the computer on the e-mail / link. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, clients, staff and the public.

Ability to work the required hours of the position. Lifting 50 pounds maximum with the assistance of another person, and frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 35 pounds. Intermittent standing, walking, sitting and driving.

Using hand(s)/feet for repetitive single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling and operating controls. Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grappling and occasional climbing. Communicating orally in a clear manner.

Distinguishing sounds at various frequencies and volumes. Distinguishing people or objects at varied distances under a variety of light conditions. Withstanding temperature changes in the work environment.
