Job description

Summary:
Assigns work for Company and owner operator trailer drivers for conveyance of freight by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
  • Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
  • Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
  • Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
  • Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
  • Investigates overdue vehicles.
  • Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio.
  • Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
  • Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
  • Spanish fluency required
  • Position is full time and on-site.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
