Landscape Project Manager / Project Manager in Training

Location: Logan, Utah
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

By Design Landscapes is seeking a motivated and experienced landscape professional to join our team as either a Landscape Project Manager or Project Manager in Training, depending on experience. This role is ideal for someone with strong landscape construction and irrigation knowledge who is ready to lead projects—or has the potential and desire to grow into a leadership position.

The successful candidate will work closely with company leadership to learn our systems while overseeing landscape construction projects from planning through completion. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, solution-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Required

Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape construction, irrigation, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of irrigation installation, repair, troubleshooting, and system operation.

Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation plans.

Strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate and develop crews.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in the field.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Customer-focused attitude with professional communication skills.

Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred

Previous project management or crew leadership experience.

Conversational or fluent Spanish.

Experience with hardscape installation, grading, drainage, and landscape lighting.

Experience with scheduling software, project management software, or construction management systems.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with or manage landscape construction projects from start to finish.

Coordinate daily schedules, labor, materials, and equipment.

Lead and support installation crews while maintaining company quality standards.

Oversee irrigation installations, repairs, testing, and troubleshooting.

Communicate professionally with customers throughout each project.

Conduct routine jobsite inspections and maintain project documentation.

Work closely with the Owner, Office Manager, and Sales Team to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Promote a safe, productive, and positive work environment.
