JOB SUMMARY: The youth minister plays a crucial role in our parish, performing various activities to direct and coordinate a robust faith-filled youth ministry aimed at helping youth grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. The mission of the youth minister will be directed towards youth grades 6-12. This person is to engage in relational ministry with youth and parents, provide for catechesis, and invite youth to serve others and make disciples. To that end, the youth minister is responsible for the development, coordination, supervision, and execution of parish programs designed to engage the parish youth. He or she should develop close communication with and mutual support from families of youth.
We are seeking a unique individual with a deep spirit and heart for ministry, and the ability to organize and run a comprehensive, fun, engaging ministry. Your unique qualities and passion for youth ministry are what we value most.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bilingual, basic organizing skills, adequate communication skills in English and Spanish, language and with a college education preferably in Theology or any equivalent training, and knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, and/ or power point).
