Job description

As a Space Technology Subject Matter Expert with MTSI you will be a lead advisor to DoD program managers and technical directors for the evaluation and transition of advanced space systems.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Provide direct support to a Department of Defense customer for the Space Security and Defense Program.
  • Provides advice, technical guidance and expertise to program staff in the following areas:

o Space-based systems
o Multi-domain systems
o Classified technology transition
  • Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
  • Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
  • Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues

Required Qualifications:
  • 15 years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than five (5) years' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment
  • Experience must include space technology, space architectures, air-space integration, and space control systems.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative, work independently and recognize management issues that need to be elevated
  • Excellent oral, written, and reporting communication skills
  • Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced, and highly dynamic environment
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain deadline punctuality during pressurized situations

Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in a science, engineering, or technical field
  • PhD degree in a science, engineering, or technical field DESIRED

Clearance Requirements:
  • Top Secret, SCI Eligible; SAP experience within last 5 years or SCI in lieu of.
